Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about what Intent is, what Premium includes, and how your data is handled.

What is Intent?

Intent is a task planner for iPhone built around the Eisenhower Matrix. It is a calm place to plan an honest day: sort what matters from what is merely loud, choose the three to five things today is really for, and end the week with quiet proof you lived it on purpose.

How does the Eisenhower Matrix work in Intent?

Four quadrants sort every task by urgency and importance: Do Now, Schedule, Delegate, and Eliminate, plus an Anytime bucket for the someday. You can rename the quadrants to match how you think, and filter by area of focus without the grid collapsing, so your map stays one you can trust.

Is Intent free?

Intent is free to start. Some features require Intent Premium, an auto-renewing subscription sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Current pricing for every plan is always shown in the app before you subscribe.

What does Intent Premium include?

Premium unlocks recurring tasks, task reminders, the Morning intention and Evening reflection ritual notifications, the Pomodoro focus timer, unlimited areas of focus, and the areas heatmap — your year on a page.

How do billing and cancellation work?

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Intent account does not cancel an active subscription, and refunds are handled by Apple.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You create an account in the app using Sign in with Apple or an email address and password. Your account is what keeps your tasks, areas, and reflections synced and scoped to you alone.

Does Intent sync across devices?

Yes. Your tasks, areas, and reflections live in your account on our servers, not on any single phone. Sign in on any iPhone and everything is there — nothing to export or move over by hand.

Does Intent connect to my calendar?

Yes, with your permission. Intent uses Apple's EventKit to read the calendars on your iPhone, so any account you have added to the iOS Calendar app — iCloud, Google, and others — is available through it. You can turn calendar events into planned tasks; Intent reads only the events you import, never uploads or stores your full calendar, and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars.

What happens to my data?

Your planning content belongs to you and is scoped to your account alone: database row-level security and our API both restrict access to your authenticated session. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. You can permanently delete your account and all of its data at any time in the app (Settings > Delete Account).

Is Intent the same app as PrioriPlanner?

Yes. Intent is the next chapter of PrioriPlanner — the same App Store listing, rated 4.6 stars, updated in place rather than replaced. Because it is the same app, existing ratings and active subscriptions carry over; there is nothing separate to re-buy or re-download.

What devices does Intent run on?

Intent is built for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later.

When can I download Intent?
