Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms," also serving as the End User License Agreement) govern your use of the Intent app for iOS and the intent-app.com website. By downloading, installing, or using Intent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Intent.

1. The agreement

Intent (the "App") is published by ColetonCodes, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and us. Because Intent is distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA differ, these Terms govern to the extent permitted.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Intent on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple's App Store usage rules.

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App;
  • use the App to violate any law or the rights of others, or to disrupt or abuse our services.

3. Your account and your data

Some features require an account, which you create in the App using Sign in with Apple or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. The content you create in Intent -- your tasks, areas, reflections, and settings -- belongs to you. You can permanently delete your account and all of its data from within the App at any time (Settings > Delete Account).

Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Intent is free to start. Some features require Intent Premium, an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account, and our subscription tooling is provided by RevenueCat. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions); deleting the App or your Intent account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

5. Acceptable use

Intent is a personal planning tool. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with other users, or submit content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.

6. Disclaimers

Intent is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. Intent is a planning aid and is not a substitute for professional advice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ColetonCodes, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Apple as a third-party beneficiary

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Any claim that the App fails to conform to a warranty may be directed to Apple for a refund of the purchase price, where applicable; otherwise, Apple has no warranty obligation.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected in the App or on this page. Your continued use of Intent after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Faulkner County, Arkansas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
